Wilson had signed a minor league deal with the Rangers in December, but was traded to the Tigers near the end of spring training for Bryan Holaday. With Holaday struggling at the dish this season, hitting just .154/.233/.179 through 13 games, the Rangers decided to pull the trigger and reacquire Wilson. Detroit also activated James McCann from the 15-day DL on Tuesday, and between him and Jarrod Saltalamacchia, they no longer have a need for Wilson's services. This trade is beneficial to Wilson's playing time, but his fantasy value is still limited as he hasn't hit above .200 in a full season since 2012.
