Werth (wrist) swung a fungo bat Saturday, James Wagner of the Washington Post reports. Even swinging a lighter fungo bat is significant progress given his wrist injury. He's expected to rejoin the club at some point this season, but some point in August remains the target at this point. In the meantime, the Nationals will continue with Bryce Harper, Denard Span and Michael Taylor as the everyday outfielders.
