Werth went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in his return to the starting lineup Monday. He was used as the Nats' cleanup hitter Monday, presumably the spot he'll hold down for the foreseeable future. Reed Johnson replaced him in left field late in the game, but Werth is unlikely to see more than the occasional day off in the coming weeks barring a setback with his shoulder.
