Wada (groin) threw a five-inning outing at extended spring training Sunday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports. Wada tossed 72 pitches in the outing, a heavy workload that suggests a rehab assignment at Triple-A Iowa is on the horizon. With the Cubs boasting a healthy rotation at present, Wada may be forced to remain with Iowa once he's formally activated from the disabled list.
