Verlander (triceps) is slated to toss a simulated game Wednesday, Chris Iott of MLive Media Group reports. Verlander continues to progress towards a return, having thrown 30 pitches off a mound Friday. With a simulated game up next, he will take another step forward, but probably won't be ready when first eligible to return.
