Upton finished April with a .259/.299/.543 slash line, six home runs, and 14 RBI. Even with the projected dip in power given his spacious new home ballpark, Upton has managed a team-high six home runs through the first month of the season. While he has been able to dispel those home run questions, the strikeouts have remained an issue. He has an unsatisfactory 26.4% K rate, which is right around last year's figure of 26.7%, a rate that led to 171 strikeouts on the year. Still, he has been a key cog in San Diego's offensive improvement to this point.
