Uehara (hamstring) is scheduled to throw on flat ground Thursday, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports. Uehara hopes to progress to a bullpen session by the weekend if all goes well Thursday. His performance in those workouts will likely paint a much clearer picture of the projected closer's Opening Day availability.
