Tomlin went 6.2 innings against the Royals on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and no walks, taking a no-decision. He struck out three.

Tomlin was removed after just 84 pitches Tuesday in his best start since July. He received a no-decision as the Indians managed just one run until the bottom of the ninth, when Brandon Guyer hit a pinch hit, walkoff single to win the game 2-1. Tomlin has now rebounded from a brutal August where he posted an astronomical 11.48 ERA, allowing just one run in each of the his two September starts. His ERA is now 4.61 on the year.
