Tolleson (back) was placed on the disabled list Friday with a lower back strain, Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Tolleson was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock near the end of July, and will now miss time with a back injury. Throughout the season, Tolleson has pitched 36.1 innings with the Rangers, posting a 7.58 ERA out of the bullpen. The 28-year-old should be able to return before the end of the month barring any setbacks.
