Tigers transferred RHP Joel Hanrahan to the 60-day disabled list. This was merely done as a procedural move to clear a roster spot for Drew VerHagen who is making his major league debut with Saturday's start against the Indians. Hanrahan has begun to make progress toward a return, but isn't expected to join the Tigers bullpen until some point in August.
