The prospects the Yankees offered have given the Phillies a baseline for discussions with other clubs. They have spoken to the Yankees, Red Sox, Padres and Rangers more than any other teams regarding Hamels. The Red Sox have not been willing to give up top prospects Blake Swihart and Mookie Betts, which has prevented a deal to Boston from happening.
