The Yankees announced that Sabathia underwent arthroscopic right knee surgery for a routine cleanup Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Sabathia was not dealing with any sort of serious knee injury, but with a few months to recover during the offseason, it was determined that he would go under the knife in order to fix whatever damage he was dealing with. The Yankees did not reveal how long Sabathia will need to recover from Tuesday's procedure, but the team does expect him to be ready for the beginning of spring training.
