Teheran used his fastball more often than in his previous starts this season in the course of shutting out the Reds on Sunday. He allowed just three hits and two walks over six innings, striking out six. In previous starts, where Teheran had some poor results, his fastball usage was below 50 percent, but it was back up to 64 of 102 total pitches Sunday. "I was feeling good," Teheran said. "I was feeling my fastball coming out of my hand. All of my pitches were good. I was really focused on this game." It didn't hurt Teheran that the Braves jumped ahead in the first inning, allowing him to be more aggressive.
