Straily was optioned to minor league camp by the Astros on Monday. He allowed seven runs on 12 hits over 10.2 innings in Grapefruit League play this spring, falling out of the mix to begin the year as the Astros' fifth starter in the process. Roberto Hernandez, Asher Wojciewchowski, and Sam Deduno are the remaining candidates to fill the role, while Straily could be among the first options called up if the Astros need a replacement in the rotation early in the season.
