Stanton was placed on the 15-day DL on Saturday with a left wrist hamate fracture, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. The major league leader in home runs is expected to be down for 4-to-6 weeks as a result of the injury. His placement on the DL comes on the heels of a five-game losing streak that has dropped Miami to 30-45. Stanton was replaced on the active roster by Cole Gillespie, though Ichiro Suzuki figures to be the main beneficiary in terms of playing time.
