Santana threw seven scoreless innings with ten strikouts and no walks in Sunday's win over Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Santana's dominant outing was a total surprise given that he'd struggled so much the past six weeks. Before Sunday, Santana had given up 31 earned runs in 30.1 innings (9.20 ERA) with just a 14:15 K:BB ratio in his last six starts. Perhaps Santana figured out some mechanical issue as his outing was among the most dominant of his career. However, it's going to be hard to put too much faith in a turnaround given how poor he was pitching during his slump.
