EDGE Analysis
Making his first start since May 31, Sanchez once again struggled with keeping the ball in the park. He surrendered a game-opening blast to Carlos Santana, and saw Francisco Lindor take him deep just a batter later with a solo shot of his own. The veteran righty was otherwise fairly effective, throwing 52 of his 87 pitches for strikes. While his relief outings throughout June seemed to indicate the improvement the Tigers has hoped for when they reassigned him to the bullpen, Saturday's effort seemed to demonstrate more of the same troublesome signs that plagued Sanchez in many of his starts earlier this season.
