Sanchez (2-1) allowed five runs, four of which were earned, on eight hits and two walks while striking out eight over five innings Sunday at the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez gave up a pair of solo homers and eventually gave up five runs in his first four innings of work, and although the Tigers clawed back with four runs, they weren't able to take him off the hook for the loss. This was the first time in three starts that he's allowed more than two runs, though he's yet to make it through the sixth inning in any of his starts. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Indians.
