Sale (5-0) cruised through eight innings in Sunday's 10-1 blowout of the Blue Jays, surrendering just one run on four hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
This was Sale's second straight start with less than a strikeout per inning, but owners shouldn't worry much considering the lefty finished each of his first six MLB seasons with a K/9 of 9.00 or higher. On the bright side, Sale's lack of strikeouts allowed him to get through eight innings in an efficient 100 pitches, with his lone blemish coming on a seventh-inning Edwin Encarnacion solo home run with the game well out of reach. He has won each of his first five starts, but extending that streak could be tricky as his next outing falls Sunday on the road against the homer-happy Orioles.
