Sabathia earned his first win of the season Monday, striking out nine Rays in seven innings and only allowing three earned runs. Sabathia had gotten off to an awful start to the season, going 0-5 in his first six starts. In his past three starts, he had given up five home runs and four walks, and was allowing right-handed batters to hit .341 off of him. His next scheduled start is Saturday against the Royals.
