Ryu's rehab was slowed following Friday's bullpen session when he experienced a slight dip in velocity, the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett reports. This is obviously not a good sign, as things had already been going a little slow with Ryu's rehab from a shoulder injury. It's time to downgrade his value slightly, and consider the possibility that he does not return in late-May, as was originally anticipated. Carlos Frias and Joe Wieland are the current No. 4 and No. 5 starters for the Dodgers, but they have already used nine starters this season, so there are plenty of other back-end options while Ryu is out.
