Ross was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports. Ross has bounced around from Pawtucket to Boston quite a bit lately. Ross has appeared in 15 games for the Red Sox, posting a 5.29 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP in 17 innings. He's unlikely to see too many high leverage situations and will continue to float between the majors and Triple-A unless he stakes a firm claim to a bullpen role in this latest stint in the big leagues.
