Ross lasted only three innings, giving up five hits, two walks, and six runs- four earned- while striking out four in a sloppy game against the Diamondbacks on Saturday. It was the All-Star's shortest outing of the season, as Ross allowed all six of his runs in the first two innings. Though Ross wasn't sharp, he didn't get help from his defense, either. The Padres committed two costly errors that led to two unearned runs. Nonetheless, Ross still has a 2.81 ERA, a 1.21 WHIP and 195 strikeouts, fifth best in the National League.
