Rodney is unlikely to pitch in Thursday's game against the Astros, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Rodney has pitched each of the last four days, picking up three saves and five strikeouts over four scoreless innings. He's already put in a full week's worth of work for owners, but he may get to pad his numbers Saturday and/or Sunday. It would be shocking if the Mariners used him for a fifth straight day Friday night. Should a save opportunity arise, the M's will likely turn to Danny Farquhar or Carson Smith.
