Red Sox signed INF/OF Mike McCoy to a minor league contract. He should be invited to spring training. McCoy has batted only .190/.273/.256 across parts of four seasons as a utility player, but he has some speed and plays all over the diamond. Expect him to begin the year at Triple-A Pawtucket.
