Ramirez was lifted in the eighth inning of Monday's 9-4 win over the Nationals with a right foot injury, Brian MacPherson of the Providence Journal reports. While the myriad ailments Ramirez has dealt with the last couple of seasons raises concern about even the slightest bump or bruise he sustains, manager John Farrell seemed to downplay this latest injury. The shortstop-turned-outfielder underwent a CT scan on the foot after the game, which came back negative. Ramirez is expected back in the lineup Tuesday, though those planning on using him in daily leagues should monitor his status leading up to game time in the event he's made a late scratch.
