Evidently, Peralta emerged from his outing against the Cubs on Monday with left oblique tightness. The right-hander missed two months earlier this season with an oblique issue, so rather than return him to action and risk some sort of long-term injury, the Brewers have decided to shut Peralta down and look ahead to 2016. Peralta struggled in 20 starts for Milwaukee this season, turning career-worst marks in ERA, WHIP and strikeout rate.
