Peralta has not yet officially lost his rotation spot, MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta had a favorable matchup against the Phillies on Sunday, as the team checked in with the second-worst wOBA (.281) in all of Major League Baseball entering the contest. The right-hander effectively failed to keep the light-hitting Phillies in check, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. It was the fifth time this season that Peralta has allowed five or more earned runs in a start, and the 27-year-old has yet to make it past the sixth inning in a start this year. Despite the struggles, manager Craig Counsell and the Brewers plan to stick by their starter in hopes of Peralta eventually righting the ship. If improvement doesn't begin to show in the near future, however, this topic of conversation will almost surely be revisited.
