Pearce is set to undergo surgery Wednesday in New York to repair the flexor mass tendon in his elbow, Rich Dubroff of CSN Mid Atlantic reports.

As announced Sunday, Pearce will require surgery after a platelet-rich plasma injection failed to quell the discomfort in his elbow. Pearce's 2016 season is obviously over, and he'll now face a four-to-six-month recovery timetable, which should enable him to be back at close to full strength for the start of the 2017 campaign.
