Parker (elbow) will throw around 90 pitches in his start with Triple-A Nashville on Friday, MLB.com's Jane Lee reports. This is good news as the A's recently said Parker would need to throw 85-100 pitches in a rehab outing before rejoining the A's rotation. If everything goes well in Friday's outing Parker could be summoned to join the A's in short order. One thing that could prolong this process is the fact that the A's don't really have a pitcher who is struggling in the rotation at the moment, but they will still likely phase Jesse Chavez out when Parker's time comes.
