Padres designated INF Pedro Ciriaco for assignment. With Yonder Alonso and Jedd Gyorko getting activated from the disabled list, Ciriaco proved to be the odd man out in the Padres infield. He hit .238/.284/.333 with a homer and six steals in his 23 games with the Friars. He's talented enough to where another team should be willing to take a chance on him in a utility role.
