Myers was mentioned by Bud Black as a lead-off candidate, Jeff Sanders of U-T San Diego reports. It's not often you see a player speculated to play center field and lead off while also seeing that same player as a possibility at first base. Myers' positional situation is still fluid and depends on how the multitude of players acquired by the Padres work out. He's definitely still a starter despite his rough 2014 (.222/.294/.320), but it's impossible to tell what stat categories he'll reliably fill in 2015.
