Morton made his first appearance since undergoing offseason hip surgery last September, and remains on track to be ready for Opening Day, Bob Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. Morton seems to be doing fine, and pitched two innings Thursday, but struggled somewhat (allowing two hits and two walks). He still seems to be a candidate to be ready for Opening Day, but it should become clearer as it draws nearer.
