Miley didn't factor into the decision against the Yankees on Saturday but struck out nine while also giving up three earned runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
That's back-to-back encouraging outings for the veteran southpaw, whose 2016 has been a veritable rollercoaster. Miley closes out the regular season by surrendering only four earned runs over the 14.2 innings encompassing his last two starts, while mowing down an impressive 20 hitters over that span. Although his 9-13 record and 5.37 ERA this season leave much to be desired, he could play an important role in the postseason if given the opportunity, given his recent performances.
