Martin went 1-for-2 with a go-ahead three-run homer and a walk in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran backstop went deep off reliever James Hoyt in the sixth, plating Edwin Encarnacion and Michael Saunders to erase what had been a 2-1 deficit. The homer would turn out to be the game-winner and was Martin's first since Aug. 1 against this same Astros squad. Despite the heroics Saturday, the 33-year-old continues struggling at the plate, slashing just .176/.300/.382 in 34 August at-bats.
