Martin (hamstring) made it through Wednesday's simulated game without any issues, Bob Dutton of The News Tribune reports. The Mariners plan on having him play seven innings at Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Martin was able to get in some base running during Wednesday's sim game and he also reportedly connected on a deep home run to center field during the session. Provided that he can make it through Thursday's tuneup at Triple-A, Martin will likely be activated in time to return to the Mariners' lineup Friday. Prior to landing on the disabled list, Martin had been on an absolute tear, batting .500 with four home runs in his last nine games played.
