Marlins sent INF Gil Velazquez outright to Triple-A New Orleans. Velazquez appeared in 19 games with the Marlins this season, batting .232 (13-for-56) with a double, two RBI and a .496 OPS. The 33-year-old journeyman is nothing more than organizational depth.
