Mariners designated RHP Jeremy Bonderman for assignment. Bonderman was shelled for six earned runs over five innings Saturday in a loss to the Reds, falling to 1-3 on the season with a 4.93 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. The 30-year-old right-hander seems doubtful to draw much interest on waivers. Seattle will have to call up a new starter for Thursday and it certainly could be Erasmo Ramirez.
