Manager John Farrell said Sunday that Bradley would see fairly consistent at-bats against right-handed pitching even when Shane Victorino (hamstring) returns from the disabled list Monday, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports. Bradley was promoted to the big club Sunday morning and was immediately inserted into the starting lineup in right field, while Allen Craig was sent back to Triple-A Pawtucket in a corresponding move. Known primarily for his defensive prowess, Bradley's .343/.393/.465 batting line at Pawtucket may have been enough to convince Farrell to give him a look in a timeshare with Victorino, who had been woeful at the dish for the Red Sox prior to landing on the DL.
