Manager Bruce Bochy believes Pence (wrist) could return to the Giants before the All-Star break, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports. After Pence impressed during his on-field batting practice session Sunday, the Giants are increasingly optimistic that the outfielder may be less than a week away from returning. Pence is scheduled to visit a doctor Monday, which should provide further illumination on his recovery timetable. With both Pence and Norichika Aoki on the DL at the moment, the Giants have been forced to tread water with the likes of Gregor Blanco and Justin Maxwell at the corner-outfield spots.
