Loney has gone 6-of-21 with two doubles so far through eight spring games and does not seem to have any threats to his potential playing time heading into 2015. Loney has produced a solid .294/.342/.404 slash over the past two seasons as the Rays' regular first baseman, playing in 158 and 155 games respectively. The nine-year veteran appears to be on track to do the same in 2015, as he heads into the second year of a three-year, $21 million contract.
