EDGE Analysis
He had a decent, but unremarkable first half of this season, hitting .274 with just three home runs and a .713 OPS. But he picked up the pace over the summer and now has 10 home runs, a .306 average and .808 OPS. And his Offensive WAR is 4.3, good for ninth in the American League. A solid September will give him a chance to finish the season hitting .300 or better for the first time since 2008. And so far, so good -- he's 8-for-24 (.333) with two doubles, one home run and five RBI so far this month.
