Kimbrel has pitched in back-to-back games for the Padres. Kimbrel took the loss Saturday night, and has now thrown a combined 32 pitches in the first two games of the series against the Cubs. This hasn't stopped the powerful right-hander from taking the hill in a third straight game in the past, but manager Bud Black may think twice about leaving his closer in for a high volume of pitches Sunday.
