Kershaw (back) pitched three innings against the Marlins in his return from the DL on Friday, allowing two runs on five hits while striking out five. He did not walk a batter.
EDGE Analysis
J.T. Realmuto smacked Kershaw's sixth pitch for a home run, and Chris Johnson singled home Jeff Francoeur in the second to put the Dodgers in an early 2-0 hole. Kershaw only threw 66 pitches before being lifted for a pinch hitter, but there hasn't been any word of an injury setback, so it seems manager Dave Roberts just decided his ace had thrown enough high-stress pitches in his first start back. Kershaw lines up to start Wednesday against the Yankees on normal rest.
