Kennedy (hamstring) threw 81 pitches across six innings in an extended-spring training start Monday, Dennis Lin of the Union-Tribune reports. Kennedy was slated to throw between 75 and 90 pitches in his extended-spring start Monday and hit that mark. He is nearing a return to the Padres and the earliest date he could be activated from the DL would be Saturday against the Dodgers.
