Kemp went 2-for-6 with a two-run, 12th inning home run that did not in face prove decisive, as the Padres lost 7-6 at the hands of the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Kemp's two-run blast in the top of the 12th was momentous but not enough, as the Padres bullpen blew the lead and lost the game on a walk-off wild pitch in the bottom of the 12th. The homer was Kemp's 23rd of the season, and brought his RBI total to 69. While hitting just .261, he's currently on pace to challenge his career high of 39 homers that he set back 2011 when he was 2nd in NL MVP voting.
