Jurrjens has elected free agency, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports. The Rockies traded for Jurrjens out of desperation in early July, and the right-hander was predictably awful in his two starts for the big club (10.61 ERA, 2.46 WHIP). He went 2-8 with a 4.54 ERA in 14 starts at the Triple-A level, and at this point in his career, Jurrjens is likely best suited for an organizational depth role.
