Jones went 1-for-2 with a home run, two walks, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-3 loss against the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Jones supplied all of the Baltimore offense in the losing effort, driving in or scoring each of the Orioles' three runs. The pair of walks are nice to see from Jones, who has historically not walked much, but is on pace to eclipse his career high of 36 walks back in 2009. It's also his first season batting primarily in the leadoff spot, which is perhaps an impetus for his newfound patience at the plate. The role has suited Jones well, as he has hit .297 when batting leadoff this season, compared to .224 hitting in other spots in the batting order.
