Johnson signed a minor league contract with the Rangers on Monday that includes an invite to spring training, the Fort Worth Star Telegram's Jeff Wilson reports. This news came the same day that it was announced that Jurickson Profar would miss the entire season after shoulder surgery, so it is understandable that the Rangers were searching for some middle infield depth. Johnson has some speed, but he is a career .215 hitter in 826 plate appearances in the big leagues, so there is not much upside here from a fantasy perspective. Look for him to start the year at Triple-A.
