Johnson has been called up by the Tigers, James Schmehl of MLive.com reports. Despite a 5.79 ERA over four appearances with Toledo, Johnson is taking over the roster spot of Melvin Mercedes. The Tigers will likely break him in middle relief, with the hope that he can rediscover his pre-2014 form.
